Are you planning to go abroad? Whether for an internship or for a first job: this course might be interesting for you.

The workshop takes you through a typical application process - from composing your CV and writing an appealing letter to making phone calls and even preparing for a telephone interview. Contents of the workshop are:

  • Structure and layout of international job applications
  • The essential differences between applying in Germany and abroad
  • How to prepare a successful application by focussing on your strengths as well as on the company’s needs
  • Applying by email or application form
  • Telephoning for Job Hunters:
    • preparing for professional phone calls
    • The dos and don’ts in telephone conversations
    • Staying polite AND getting down to business: important idioms and phrases
    • Making a good (voice!) impression
