ICEUS is an international and bilingual master’s degree programme . The Programme is accredited by the Central Evaluation and Accreditation Agency of Hanover (ZEvA) and participates in the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS).
Master of Arts (M.A.)
Winter semester (October)
4 semesters (24 months, 3 semesters in Fulda plus 1 semester for master's thesis)
120 ECTS Credits
German and English
The graduate Programme ICEUS was designed in view of the progressing European integration and the increasing internationalisation and globalisation. ICEUS seeks to prepare university graduates for the challenges of qualified tasks in inter- and supranational or national organisations that are active internationally. Such organisations may be NGOs, professional and industry associations, public institutions or administrative bodies. For positions in these organisations, applicants must have the ability to communicate effectively with speakers of other languages and other cultural backgrounds. Programme participants also acquire a profound knowledge of organisational structures and of the framework, institutions and future perspectives of European integration, e.g. in view of the enlargement process of the European Union.
The first two semesters are regular classroom study semesters. A research project and a ten-week internship must be completed after the first two semesters. The third semester serves for in-depth study. The master's thesis is written in the fourth semester, but it is not required that students be present in Fulda during this final semester. The disputation of the master’s thesis is held in Fulda.
