"Social Sciences for Intercultural Relations" (BASIB) is a six-semester B.A. program and was accredited in September 2004.

As a result of the increase in international migration the politics of immigration and integration has become an intensely-debated issue. Additionally, the necessity of promoting intercultural relations is increasing the demand for qualified personnel. The new B.A.-program “Social Sciences with Focus on Intercultural Relations” will prepare students for positions in the field of

• Professional support of societal integration of immigrants
• Management of intercultural situations and conflicts
• Development application of intercultural resources (diversity management)
• Collaboration in companies and organisations with international teams or intercultural tasks
• Sending and hosting international personnel to foreign postings.
