Admission Requirements
The programme aims at graduates, which hold a Bachelor’s, or equivalent degree in the field of
An average grade at upper division level (B) on the final certificate is required.
Application process
The route you take to apply will depend on whether you earned a first academic degree inside or outside Germany. Furthermore different application deadlines apply to your nationality (EU- and Non-EU Nationals). Make sure to check application details for your entry.
Application deadlines for:
Proof of proficiency in English language
The Master's course is completely taught in English. Therefore, applicants whose first language is not English should be able to demonstrate a satisfactory level of spoken and written English (e.g. TOEFL 61 - Internet based, or equivalent certificate >> see also other acceptable English language qualifications.
Students with a first academic degree taught in English are not required to hand in a language test, if their final certificate and/or the academic transcript shows all subjects have been taught in English. If the certificate does not contain this information, a written confirmation of the home university can be submitted.
Knowledge of the German language is recommended but not compulsory for applying to the programme. A German language course will be offered each winter term before the lectures start.
Language Courses
For those who do not posses any of the mentioned language certificates (>> read more) and / or wish to improve their language proficiency before the postgraduate programme starts: A tuition free intensive language course will be offered at Kassel University in Witzenhausen

Beginning and Duration
The MSc course starts yearly in October. The duration of the programme is 24 months (full-time).
