The internship is offered as a compulsory part of the academic programme. During the 5. semester students spent 16 weeks of a practical training period in external partner institutions and companies.
Students achieve knowledge and self-competence enabling them to find their way into and within the areas of competence „Nutrition and Health“, „Food Business“ or „Lifestyle, Building Environment and Resources“, and to solve problems by use of scientific methods.
The internship can help students to focus more closely on a prospective career, put their academic study to practical use, expand the scope of a special interest area or gain experience in using a particular skill. An internship complements their academic record and sets them apart when they apply to graduate programme or begin their career.
Each intern has an academic supervisor, who assesses the the student's performance and is supervised by means of e-learning.
